Chairman and MD Sanjiv Puri of the Calcutta-based cigarettes-to-hotels conglomerate ITC stated during the 111th Annual General Meeting held on 20th July that ITC would be looking to ramp up exports of its value-added FMCG products to international markets.
ITC has already strengthened its FMCG portfolio at home with popular household brands like Aashirvaad, Sunfeast, Bingo, and Yippee and is now aiming to go big on its fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) business by launching new products, expanding distribution, and entering new categories across various segments of global emerging markets.
As part of its overseas strategy, the FMCG conglomerate aims to create structural competitive advantages and enhance profitability channels by incubating new engines of growth and developing beachheads in areas that hold promise for the future.
